Ianthe is a Liberty iconic., created by well-known French Art Nouveau designer R. Beauclair in approximately 1900, and was later redrawn by David Haward's Studio. Ianthe is Greek for purple or violet flowers, suggesting that the flowers in the design may have originally been drawn from violets.

Our lovely customer Kate has used a border frill of Ianthe B to lift her linen dress.  The dress was her friends and Kate altered it to fit herself.  Although Initially concerned about mixing linen with the tana lawn, it has worked out really well.
