MiY Collection - Draped Waterfall Cardigan
You will live in this cardigan! Its generous draped front is seriously flattering and you can wrap it around yourself when you want to be really cosy. The deep neckband and hemband and foldback cuffs can be made in contrast fabric.
The pattern is multi-sized and printed on 80gsm white paper (not flimsy tracing paper). This is NOT a downloadable pdf pattern that you have to print and stick together yourself.
3 sizes (S, M, L) are included in the pattern, see sizing for detailed measurements. The sizing and fit of the cardi are fairly generous - it's quite a loose fitting garment.
This pattern is designed for stretch knit fabrics only and can be made in a variety of knitted fabrics from single jersey to sweatshirt. You can mix and match your fabrics, using a contrasting colours or prints for the neck, hem and cuffs. Help with choosing fabrics can be found on the blog here and here.
This design is easy, but is best for sewers who have already made a couple of projects rather than absolute beginners!
The pattern comes with a thorough instruction booklet which covers:
* fabric requirements
* cutting layouts
* an explanation of fabric layouts and cutting
* how to sew knit fabrics on a domestic sewing machine
* instructions & diagrams for how to make the cardi
* specialist iron-on bias tape which prevents the neck and shoulders from stretching
* an MIY Collection label to sew into your finished garment!
