Tilly and the Buttons - Mathilde Blouse 1001
MAKE A BEAUTIFUL BUTTON-BACK BLOUSE!
Take your sewing skills to the next level by making Mathilde. The elegant blouse features tucks down the front bodice, flowing sleeves and an adorable button-back opening. Suitable for advanced beginners, you'll learn to create all these features plus French seams so you can make the inside as beautiful as the outside. The user-friendly instructions guide you through with a jargon buster, clearly labelled pattern pieces, and photos of each step.
Tuck Mathilde into a pencil skirt or wear loose over skinny jeans. Try inserting piping into the yoke seam, or sew on contrast colour buttons to create a surprise when you turn around.
FABRIC SUGGESTIONS - Lightweight cotton, silk or polyester fabrics with drape, such as lawn, voile, viscose (rayon), crêpe de chine, habotai, charmeuse. Avoid slippery fabric if you’re a beginner. Plain fabric will show the tucks better than patterned fabric.
