The original artwork for this design was featured in Wildsmith’s “The Amazing World of Words” series created in 1997, the Liberty team were drawn to the artwork’s great variation of sea life from whales to crabs, Striped Snapper fish to seals. The level of meticulous detail captured in pen and ink will keep you spotting new underwater motifs.

The organic version of Liberty's signature Tana Lawn® cotton is as soft and lustrously detailed as the original. Printed at the Liberty Printing Mill, it is prepared using a slightly different process to ensure GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification, along with our usual Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 rating. Organic Tana has a beautifully warm and soft touch, combining rich fluidity with vibrant print quality.

This fabric drapes beautifully and is light and silky to wear - perfect for warmer weather and holidays.  Ideal for any dressmaking, quilting or crafting project - even home-styling.
